Briar Rose was created in 2024-2025 by Fleur Woods using a vintage rose image printed onto linen and hand embroidered by Fleur. These pink roses used to grow wild on the hills around Arrowtown, NZ and represent a memory from childhood, a combination of fragility and resilience, this incredible bloom grow exposed on rocky mountainsides.

This original fibre artwork is completely hand stitched, no adhesives have been used.
